I was browsing the internet recently looking for gift ideas for my Christmas shopping list and came across a list of gifts that women over 50 would like. On this list were things like a pedometer, body weight management system, gardening gift set and a sleep mask. Now I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t be thrilled to receive any of these things! (Apologies to those who would like them). So I thought I’d put together my own list of 10 gift ideas for women over 50 (although you don’t need to be 50 to enjoy any of them).

Swiss Chocolate Gift Bag
A delicious selection of Swiss chocolates, including truffles, bars and a box of milk, dark and white individual chocolates. Suitable for vegetarians. Note: Includes nuts.

Wings Collection Nail Polish Gift Set
You can’t go wrong with this beautiful set of 3 sheer nail colours. Even the colour names are beautiful: Firefly Wings, Dragonfly Wings and Butterfly Wings. Not full on colour, just a pop of iridescent shimmer, perfect for any occasion.

Theatre Tickets
Our kids bought us a gift voucher for a West End Theatre & Dinner Experience a few years ago and we absolutely loved it. We opted to go and see Chicago … one of my favourite musicals, had dinner before the show and stayed overnight in a hotel in London (price of hotel not included in the gift voucher). It also got my hubby hooked on musicals! Our kids have also bought us tickets to see specific shows at our local theatre too (see my review of Benidorm Live here).Â
Just One More Chapter Canvas Book Sleeve
Does she often read around the pool on holiday or carry books around in her bag? This cute canvas book cover would made an ideal gift. The zip pocket fits normal sized paperbacks and hardbacks, and also has a pocket on the front to store pens and notebooks.

Notebooks
A beautiful notebook will go down a treat with most women, especially with those who love to journal. This selection of beautiful wildlife botanical designed A5 notebooks would be a lovely gift on its own or make up a little gift basket with some pens, highlighters and motivational stickers.

Scentful Perfume Gift Subscription
Rather than buying her the same bottle of perfume she always uses, why not give her a subscription to Scentful, a six month pefume gift subscription where she’ll receive 2 x 5ml designer perfumes each month. Such a great way of finding some new scents to enjoy.

Well Being Activity
How about a Goat Yoga Class, Paddleboard Yoga or Puppy Yoga? They all sound such good fun! Check out all of the wellbeing activities available on the Buy a Gift website. Make sure you buy a pass for two so you can go along with her 🙂

Crystal Shower Steamer Gift Set
A lot of women over 50 use the shower more than the bath so instead of bath bombs why not buy her this gorgeous set of Crystal Shower Steamers. With scents of lavender, jasmine, rose and lemon she can turn her bathroom into a private aromatherapy spa.

Funky Breakfast Print Pyjamas
For a sustainable fashion lover, these 100% organic cotton pyjamas would make a great gift. This cute breakfast print pyjama set comes in sizes UK 8 to 22 and they Joanie Clothing has them in 18 different prints.

Photo Album
Some of my favourite presents have been framed photos of my family, so a whole photo album, filled with photos of people, places, and pets I love definitely has a place on my gift ideas for women over 50. I just think it’s a really personal, thoughtful gift and it’s so nice to see actual physical photos instead of scrolling through digital ones. This Family Tree photo album, £14.59 from Amazon looks lovely and holds 120 6 x 4 photos.

So that’s my list of Gift Ideas for Women Over 50. There’s some low cost ideas and some slightly more expensive ideas but I’d be delighted to receive any of them. What would you put on your gift wish list this Christmas?

I’d love to receive any of these ten things – except Blue Grass (I do like the fragrance but it reminds me of being a stressed out student!) It’s funny how smells remind you so vividly of things! I especially like the theatre tickets idea and afternoon tea! I’m treating my in-laws to afternoon tea this Christmas – what DO you buy them?? My husband thought it was a good idea, and I’m throwing in lifts to and from the venue too so they don’t have to hoof it there on the bus, bless them 😉
Lol Helen … no Blue Grass for you then! That’s a nice touch giving your in-laws a lift. I always think when you get to a certain age experiences are better than physical products.
Lovely post! A spa day is a great idea, my mum would love this so I’m off to Google my options 🙂
Thank you Grainne 🙂 You’ve just got to love a spa day.
Pleased you found it helpful Sarah 🙂 I struggle buying gifts for my son who is 31 – men just seem to be harder to buy for!
