Sales are definitely picking up now as the kids have gone back to school, summer holidays are over and people are starting to think about Christmas! Here’s 7 random Ebay sales I’ve had this week.
Item:Â Buzz Lightyear Remote Control Spaceship
Paid: £3 (car boot sale)
I spotted Buzz at a car boot sale a few weeks ago, picked him up and had a good look (or so I thought!). When I got him home I noticed the battery compartment had no cover on it, but he still worked without it so I thought I’d list him anyway. And someone bought him. It’s always worth listing things that are missing bits or even broken – you just never know what people are looking for.
Sold: £15 + £3.50 p&p

Item:Â Fat Face Butterfly Dress
Paid: £2 (charity shop)
I always pick up Fat Face dresses when I see them as they sell really quickly for me. Quick tip: I always put the exact measurements of an item of clothing in the listing – if it’s been washed it’s possible it could have shrunk, so just listing the size could be misleading.

Item:Â Disney Jelly/Cake Moulds
Paid: £2 (car boot sale)
Not something I’ve ever picked up before but Disney and baking sounded like a winner to me, and at 50p per mould I had to take a chance. I picked up some other moulds from the same seller which are still listed so I’ll let you know if they go.
Sold: £14.99 + £3 p&p

Item:Â Ringtons Tea ‘What a Drag’ Collectable Figure
Paid: £5.92
I paid £17.76 for 3 of these ornaments at the local auction house, (2 of these ones and one called ‘Beware of the Dog’) which works out at £5.92 per ornament. There were none others listed when I put them on Ebay and all three sold within the first week. They were still in the box and were in excellent condition. Great Ebay sales. Wish I’d had more of them.
Sold: £30 + £4.50 (for each one)

Item:Â Disney Heroes & Villains Chess Set
Paid: £4.00 (car boot sale)
Hubby picked this up at the car boot sale. It was a lovely chess set and would look great displayed on a coffee table (if you don’t have a 20 month old grandson running around wanting to pick everything up). I thought it might hang around till Xmas but somebody obviously didn’t want to wait.
Sold: £29.95 + £6.50 p&p

Item:Â Bioenergiser Circulation Maxx Foot Massager
Paid: £8 (car boot sale)
I wasn’t sure about this when I spotted it so I walked away and looked it up on ebay. A few had sold for decent money so I took a chance on it. When I got it home the remote control, electro-gel pads and wires were missing but they had sold on ebay in a similar condition. The box had quite a bad damp smell to it so I put a few lemon wipes into the box and left them there for a few days. The smell didn’t go completely but they did help. I nearly sent it without the box but as I’d included a photo of it I thought I’d just send it, and I got positive feedback so everybody’s happy.

Item:Â The Story of Jesus Pop Up Book
Paid: £0.84
Another book from that tray of vintage books I got from the auction. This was a lovely little book from 1938. It did have some foxing but the pop-ups were in excellent condition, I can’t believe they’ve survived this long.
