Bought this at a car boot sale when we were away for the weekend a few weeks ago – yes even when we’re on holiday we still love to source!

There were a few maternity dresses on a rail at this car boot so I bought 4 of them and this was the first one to sell. The crocheted top made it a bit different to the other three.

Our best profit ever! The boxes had been opened but everything was new & sealed inside. It sold within the first week of listing so maybe I could have got a bit more for it. I noticed the person who bought it actually sold games consoles and had previously sold a couple of these for about £100 more, but I’m not going to grumble, it was a quick sale and a really nice profit.

Seems to be a maternity theme going on this week but I’ve had this dress listed for about 18 months. Maybe it was the colour or the material or I was over-ambitious with the price, I’m not sure why it too so long. I was so sick of seeing it so I put it on a 10% sale and it sold!

Item: Child’s Wicker Chair
Paid: £4 (car boot sale)
Andrea Hills from Adventures in Reselling mentioned a couple of wicker items on her YouTube channel that she’d bought and sold for a tidy profit and it seems to have started everyone off picking wicker stuff up, me included. The chair did sell fairly quickly but I underestimated the size of the box this would have to go in. It was going to be too expensive to send it via MyHermes so I used DPD but it postage was still more than I anticipated. I think I’m only going to pick wicker up again if it’s small and really interesting!

Item: Teach Yourself Beginners Japanese

This was another item we picked up on a weekend away. The course was in cassette format and I was a little worried that it wouldn’t sell. It did take about 12 months so I’m not sure I would pick up this format again.

The good weather and the holiday season are definitely slowing sales down and it can be a little demotivating but when you pick up something like the Nintendo Wii and it sells really quickly for a good profit it does boost your motivation and gets you going again. Onwards & upwards 🙂
