If you’re looking to make Valentine’s Day really special this year without spending a ton of money then why not make it 7 days of Valentines gifts for your special someone. Or you could even treat yourself for the whole week.
Your seven days of valentine gifts could start on 1 February and end on February 7th (Valentine’s Day itself), putting the ideas below into any order you like for your special person.
7 Ideas for your Valentine Week Gifts:
Rose Day
- A bunch of red roses, pink roses or maybe daffodils if they prefer. There are many different colors of flower to choose from, pick her favourite.
- It doesn’t have to be an actual bouquet of flowers. If you’re feeling creative you could paint a picture of some flowers.
- How about a Lego flower bouquet? Put it together yourself or spend some quality time doing it together would be a great gift idea.
- A rose scented candle or wax melt could also make a lovely gift. There are hundreds of scents to choose from so pick a floral scent you know they’d love.
Chocolate Day
- There’s always the obvious sweet treat for a sweet tooth like a box of chocolates. Get her favourites, she may even let you share them.
- Set up a chocolate fondue session with some fruits, pastries and marshmallows. Definitely one I’d enjoy.
- If your loved one is trying to avoid eating chocolate then how about a chocolate scented candle or wax melt? She’ll love you for supporting her and the chocolate aroma may just satisfy her sweet craving.
- A chocolate themed gift can also include makeup. The ‘I Heart Chocolate’ Eyeshadow Palette from Revolution would be a great way to give chocolate without it being an actual chocolate bar.
Favorite Song Day
A really thoughtful gift is a playlist of favorite songs that evoke happy memories of special occasions.
- If you’re married then your first dance song is essential.
- Songs that remind them of a special holiday.
- Was there a song playing on your first date? That definitely needs to be included.
- How about an anniversary song.
- Is there a movie she loves? Include the movie theme tune.
- You could go old school and put the songs on a mixed tape (but only if she has something to play it on!). Or just use Spotify or an Alexa playlist.
Food Day
How about a romantic day with a foodie theme for one of your 7 days of Valentines gifts.
- Cook her a special meal or order in her favourite takeaway (even if it’s not your favourite). Set a beautiful table and treat her to her favourite three courses.
- Book her favourite restaurant or a restaurant she’s always wanted to go to.
- Pack a car picnic and drive out to the beach (if there’s one near you), put on some music and enjoy the view together.
- Treat her to a foodie type workshop. There are lots to choose from. Whether it’s a bread, chocolate or pizza making class it could be a really romantic evening if you go together. They sometimes even serve prosecco for you to enjoy with your culinary efforts.
Jewellery Day
Jewellery gifts go down well with a lot of people and they don’t have to be expensive.
A piece of Carrie Elspeth handmade jewellery would make a really special gift for your 7 days of Valentine week. There are lots of beautiful things to choose from including necklaces, beaded bracelets and ear-rings. And as a special Valentine’s gift to you, if you use the code GG20 at the checkout you’ll get 20% off until 31 March 2024.
My personal favourites include:
The stunning Pastel Geo Necklace, made with glass beads and a metallic finish. A perfect addition to any outfit.

The simple but beautiful Blue Sponge Gemstone Bracelet which comes with a star or heart charm. With 21 different gemstones to choose from there’s a bracelet to suit everyone.

The delightful Blue Cats Eye Star Ear-rings with sterling silver hooks. These ear-rings are so pretty and the colour is beautiful, a very cute valentine’s day gift.

Personalised Cards Day
- Make your own Valentine’s Day Cards. Add a romantic poem you’ve either written yourself or copy one that expresses your thoughts to make it a truly unique gift.
- If you’re treating yourself to 7 days of Valentine gifts then why not spend a crafty day making your own cards. This can be fun and you get to give someone else something special and unique to the special people in your life.
Special Messages Day
This would be a truly unique addition to your 7 days of Valentines gifts.
- Write a series of romantic (or funny) messages or quotes on some post-it notes and spread them around the house for her to find.
- If you don’t live together then find a pretty jar and write your messages on pieces of paper, fold them and pop them in the jar. If you can think of 52 messages to write she’ll have one for every week of the year. The type of message you write obviously depends on whether you’re a romantic partner or she prefers something less romantic and more fun. Whichever you choose it’s a perfect way to say you love someone.
A Valentine’s gift doesn’t have to be full of grand gestures and marriage proposals, sometimes it’s the little things that say I love you. Just write your valentine week list to suit your partner and I’m sure it will go down a treat. And remember if you don’t have a partner in your life then you can most definitely treat yourself … after all this season of love can just include loving yourself.

Ohh! I am all for treating myself for a week in February, after getting through January it feels like we all need something special.
What great ideas!
Me too Kim! There’s a few things I’m definitely buying myself 🙂
