Man caves have become very popular in the last few years. The dictionary says a man cave is “a room or other part of a home used by a man as a place to relax and pursue hobbies away from the rest of the family“. Recently my 56 year old husband (Warren) built himself his own little man cave … well it’s a bar really but he uses it to relax in. He’s collected quite a bit of stuff for it over the last few months and it actually looks really good. (You can definitely read a man’s personality by browsing his man cave!). Below are 12 man cave gifts my husband actually has in his man cave … that you can also buy for the man in your life (they’d make great Father’s Day Gifts for men of any age). And they’re all very affordable, unlike some of the man cave gift lists that suggest pool tables and 50” televisions!
Great British Folklore & Superstition Map
This is a really interesting map that he’s had stuck on a bookshelf for a couple of years. His man cave was just the place to display it. The map features “over 1,400 legendary locations in the UK, ghost-written and craftily conjured into cartographical form”. It’s quite fascinating to sit and look at it. If you’d like to give a map as a man cave gift then Marvellous Maps also publish a Great British Film & TV Map, GB Food & Drink Map, GB History Map, GB Map of Wonders, and a GB Literature Map. I quite fancy the film & TV one myself.

Alcohol Miniatures
Some people love to collect alcohol miniatures, which they usually bring home from holidays but a selection of miniatures make great man cave gift ideas. We popped into a beers & spirits shop on a trip to York recently and Warren was delighted to discover they had two whole walls of miniatures. He picked up some spiced rum miniatures to add to his collection (for display purposes only apparently). I think this set of Peaky Blinders miniatures would make a lovely man cave gift.

Pennywise Balloon Lamp
This Pennywise Balloon Lamp was a hit as soon as hubby spotted it. The lamp comes with a USB cable to keep it charged and it gives a chilling red glow. If the film IT isn’t his thing then how about a Ghostbusters lamp as the perfect man cave gift.

Knight Wine Bottle Cover
Bottles of wine quite often appear in a man cave, so when you come across something fun to cover the bottle you just have to have it. This metal knight wine bottle cover is on display in hubby’s man cave and would be a great addition to your man cave gift ideas list. Oh and why not buy him some wine to go with it.

Drinking Glass
Apparently you also have to have the right glass to go with your lager or even alcohol free beer. A Budweiser glass if he’s drinking Bud, a Stella glass if he’s drinking Stella … you get the idea. So he also needs the right glass to go with his spiced rum and diet coke. He got an engraved rum glass from our son a couple of years ago and he loves it. Again, the right bottle to go with it would be much appreciated I’m sure.

Snack Boxes
Everyone loves a few snacks on hand so it makes sense that snack boxes/holders make perfect man cave gifts. Warren found these wire baskets from B&M ideal to keep his snacks in. You could make up the perfect man cave gift basket with these and some of his favourite snacks.

Kraken Bottle Holder
As a spiced rum lover this man cave gift was a no-brainer. We got ours from a little gift shop when we were on holiday in Tenby but you can pick up similar ones on Amazon. It’s a shame it doesn’t actually hold a bottle of Kraken … the bottle is just slightly too big.

Money Jar
Men love to put their spare change in a jar. Warren saves £2 coins (I had four yesterday and he had to have them!) so I bought him a space themed money jar from Home Bargains to put them in. A bit childish I know but it was the best they had at the time! If the man in your life loves Star Wars then this money jar might be right up his street.

Funko Pops
More man cave gift ideas that have become very popular are Funko Pops. Hubby loves the IT film so a Funko Pop Pennywise was a must. But there are thousands of different kinds out there. From Star Wars to Stranger Things to Rocky, there’s a Funko Pop character just waiting to join his man cave.

Bar Stool
As Warren’s man cave is a bar then man cave bar stools are on my list. We got this Habitat bar stool from Argos but you can pick them up really cheaply from car boot sales and local auctions.

Sign
It wouldn’t be a man cave without a man cave sign would it, so Warren had this one made by a local crafter. (Warney Willas is a play on his name). Etsy has a whole range of man cave sign ideas to choose from or pop down to your local craft fair and support a local business.

Parrot Bottle Holder
I thought I’d include the parrot wine bottle holder in this list of man cave gifts as it’s a bit different to the knight bottle holder. The parrot is actually holding the bottle. We got this one from a car boot sale for £2 so I was quite surprised to see they were £46 on Amazon! Keep your eyes peeled for man cave gifts next time you’re at a car boot sale.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what my hubby has in his man cave. He loves it and really does spend a lot of time sitting on his bar stool watching the fish and just relaxing. It just goes to show a man cave doesn’t have to be a big room with expensive things in it to keep them happy!
