7 Ebay Sales This Week #11

Happy New Year everyone.   I can’t believe it’s 2019 … it seems like five minutes since the Millennium!  You’d think January might be a quiet month for Ebay sales but it’s usually still quite busy.  People spending their xmas money I think.  But as it’s January I have put a few things on sale in the Ebay shop … it always seems to help move some sticky stock.  The shelves in my stock room are looking quite bare at the moment so I’m looking forward to the car boot season starting up again so I can buy lots more things to make a profit on.  But for now here’s 7 Ebay Sales I’ve shipped out in the last week.

Item:   Pro-Life Face & Body Complete Skincare Solution

Paid:  This came in a box of things I bought from the auction.  The whole box cost me £17.36.

I’ve already sold a Beurer Massage Belt that was in the box (that went for £32.99 + p&p), so I was already into profit before the Skincare set sold.  Unfortunately all the other things that were in the box (steamers, mini-hoover and tens machine) all had bits missing or didn’t work.  But as I’d really only bought the box for the massage belt and the skincare solution I wasn’t too disappointed, it’s always a chance you take when you buy electrical items at an auction.  I had this listed for about 3 months at £59.99, it was getting quite a few views but no-one was buying.  Then someone offered £29.99 for it, which I almost accepted but then I thought I’d counter-offer with £39.99.  They didn’t come back to me until almost two days later and I thought they’d decided against it but then the kerching came in!  I was very happy with that.

Sold:  £39.99 (free p&p)

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £30.12

Item:  Coca-Cola Glasses

Paid:  £2 (charity shop)

There were 12 of these can shaped glasses for 50p each so I snapped them all up.  I was a little worried about having to ship glass but hubby loves a packaging challenge.  I split them into sets of four and one set sold a couple of months ago (buyer received them without any problems).  Slow sellers but I’d pick them up again if they were cheap enough.

Sold:  £14.99 + £4.50 p&p

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £10.53

Coca-Cola Glasses Sold on Ebay

Item:  Ikea Vandring Uggla Owl Curtains

Paid:  £1.50 (charity shop)

I wasn’t sure what make these were when I saw them.  It wasn’t untill I got them home that I spotted the Ikea label.  I just thought they looked really cute, very Harry Potter-ish (although they’re not).   And as there was two pair in the shop for £1.50 per pair I thought there had to be some profit in them.  Incidentally I was watching a television series called Fortitude on Now TV, which is set in Norway, and one of the characters had the Vandring Uggla Owl bedding … I caught myself thinking “I wonder if they want to buy the curtains to match” 🙂  (By the way if you like weird things I highly recommend watching Fortitude).  The curtains have been listed a few months so not the most popular but there was a profit to be had and I’ve still got one pair left.

Sold:  £12.99 + £3.99 p&p

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £9.87

Item:  Clarks Ladies Shoes

Paid:  £2 (charity shop)

I know other resellers who do really well with shoes but they just don’t seem to sell for me.  But when you see Clarks shoes for £2 you’ve just got to pick them up.  I did have them a while though … maybe it’s my photos or my keywords.  I’ll still continue to pick up shoes that I know are a good brand or that I like the look of but my New Year’s resolution might have to include better research into shoe selling techniques.

Sold:  £19.99 + £3.50 p&p

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £13.68

Clarks Ladies Shoes Sold on Ebay

Item:  Munchkin Travel Booster Seat

Paid: £2 (car boot sale)

I’ve sold quite a few of these and can usually pick them up for a couple of quid at car boot sales.  I kept one for my grandson so he can sit at the dining table rather than in his high chair (which he really doesn’t like anymore).  He loves it.  It’s a travel booster seat so you can take it out with you to use at cafes etc and it’s got a pocket for nappies and baby wipes.  They don’t fly out the door but everyone I’ve bought has sold so I’ll certainly continue to pick them up.

Sold:  £17.99 (free shipping)

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £9.45

Item:  Disney Store Grumpy Mug

Paid:  50p (charity shop)

Like a lot of resellers I love to pick up Disney mugs but I’m getting a bit more picky about the ones I buy now as they can hang around a while.  But at 50p I can’t resist.  And this one reminded me of somebody (mentioning no names lol)

Sold:  £9.99 + £3.50 p&p

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £8.08

Disney Store Grumpy Mug Sold on Ebay

Item:  In the Night Garden Quilt Cover & Soft Toys

Paid:  £4 (£2.50 for the quilt cover & 50p each for the toys) (charity shop & car boot sale)

Kids bedding usually sells quite well and I loved this one when I saw it.  Unfortunately it didn’t have the pillow case with it which is possibly one of the reasons it took a while to sell.  I bought the quilt cover from a charity shop and I saw the In the Night Garden toys at a car boot sale so thought I’d put them together.  I eventually put this in my January sale (which actually started at the end of December) and it sold so I thought it was a good one to put in my 7 Ebay Sales post.

Sold:  £14.29 + £2.95 p&p

Profit after Ebay & Paypal fees:  £6.48

  1. Just started reselling and found you through Andrew Nolan on Mini Millionaire. Interesting to see what you are buying and selling – charity shops are so expensive around here but I have found a few things. I started with my own stuff. Will keep watching!

    1. Pleased you found it interesting Maureen 🙂 Yes charity shops can be expensive but occasionally you find some gems! I can’t wait for car boot season to start again.
